According to a press release fro Sega, it has confirmed officially that Wii would be getting Virtua Tennis 2009 very soon. The press release also gave out certain details about the game. The game will be released sometime in May 2009. Rumors are that the new Virtua Tennis 2009 game will be the titles that would support the Wii MotionPlus Technology of Nintendo. This technology will allow the Wii Remote to capture motion more accurately.

Virtua Tennis 2009 game will have 40 colorful environments. The online and offline modes of the game are very apt to make it one of the best titles of Nintendo.

 
 

The UK sales chart has again been dominated by Nintendo’s Wii Fit on the top position. This has happened for the fifth consecutive week. It is also to be added that the entire top five positions have been captured by Nintendo titles including the new entry, Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir.

However, sales in total were down across the board as there were no prominent new releases and no other new entries in the top 40 last week. Due to this, new releases such as Square Enix’s Chrono Trigger on Nintendo DS, Nintendo’s New Play Control version Pikmin on Wii and Cooking Mama 2: World Kitchen all failed to the chart.

 
 

Coronation Street of Nintendo DS will be made into a computer game. The game will be on sale by Christmas and will allow the users to direct one of the famous ITV soap characters. The Landmarks featured include the Rovers Return Pub, the Kabin newsagents and the Audrey Robert’s hair salon.

ITV’s manager Ayesha Kidwai has to say that they receive thousands of fan letters enquiring about the series every month. In response to the popularity, they intend to develop a range of exciting and innovative family-targeted products. A board game, Destination: Coronation Street will also be launched later this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the show in 2010.

 
 

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords was one of the best games ever released in the last few years. It got so popular that the fans begged for more from the producers. The wait is almost over. A sequel to the game, Puzzle Quest: Galactrix is being published by D3 later this month for Nintendo DS, Windows PCs and XBox 360. The sequel offers some fresh twists on the mechanism of matching colors apart from the genres that switch from fantasy to science fiction.

Puzzle Quest’s lead designer, Steve Fawkner said sequels are tough things as people want more of the same kind but something different. However, the subtle changes on the game have made it a little bit more hardcore.

 
 

Electronics Art (EA) has confirmed that Dead Space would be coming on Nintendo Wii. EA pledges greater commitment to the Wii platform. John Riccitiello, CEO of EA has promised a Wii version of the space shooter game. It will have a similar feel to the PS3, XBox 360 and PC versions.

Riccitiello stated that the company’s goal is to produce such game that would rival Nintendo’s own in quality. He said that Nintendo is the leader and EA is giving half of its games to be released on Wii. This decision brings excitement to think if EA what if EA decides to port some of its other recent titles like Mirror’s Edge.
