Nintendo has been recently on fire for not being able to meet the demand for the Nintendo Wii. The video game console has been practically sold out of the entire year and no end in site. Nintendo originally intended for a production of 1.2 million units a month which is a very large number. However, they quickly realized this aggressive plan wasn't even enough.

Now they are scrambling with everything they can get their hands trying to produce more Nintendo Wiis. The production has now risen to 1.8 million consoles per month which is a nice 600,000 increase. The real question is whether these new consoles will reach consumers by Christmas. The answer is probably not. It seems that many people will be buying their Wiis after Christmas if they haven't already purchased another console like the Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3.
