Gamers went mad when Nintendo Wii was first launched in 2006. Everybody wanted to use the latest games console from the Japanese company. Nintendo also wanted a console for the whole family to play together and it wanted to go down the same route as Xbox 360.

When Sony released its PS3, people thought that it would affect the sales of Wii, but this was not the case. People who were interested in serious hard core gaming still wanted to keep with Wii. The game console rivals were even more beaten when Wii Fit was introduced. However, according to SlpapStic.com, Nintendo will lose many of its users to Xbox 360 and Sony’s PS3 and that 2009 will not be a good year for Nintendo.
